La Petite Bloom is our mini Bloom Workshop, where guests get to try their hand at different crafts and skills in this unique, hands-on day of learning. There is no experience needed for this workshop; the only requirement is for participants to come ready to stretch their creativity, grow their skill set, meet new friends, and leave totally inspired to create beauty all around you.
For this La Petite Bloom, we will be welcoming flower genius, Jennifer Haf of , to show us her thoughtful arranging skills. She will walk our students through how to care for flowers, choose unique blooms for their arrangements, then demonstrate how to create your own. After a short teaching portion, attendees will have the majority of the time to pick out their own flowers from our flower bar, grab their vase, and start making an arrangement of their own!
We are also welcoming Heather of , who is a master baker, artist, and food enthusiast. In this hands-on cookie decorating class, Heather will demonstrate one of her favorite techniques: hand painting! She will show attendees a variety of her favorite styles, and then set students free to create beautiful hand painted cookies of their own. Each student will leave with 10 hand painted cookies, and the knowledge to bake and decorate the cookies at home.
Finally, Michaela and Ashley will teach on the concepts of photographing and styling photos to help you take better photos whether it's with your DSLR or iPhone. Attendees will learn how to style, take, and edit photos, as well as have their headshots taken with their floral arrangements. Each attendee will leave with their gorgeous flower arrangement and vase, delicious cookie creations and supplies, and sweet new friends.
La Petite Bloom is meant to trade your everyday routine for a day of inspiration, friends, beauty, and learning. We find that creatives of all types love our mini workshops, as they leave ready to breathe new life into their own business and other creative endeavors! It's amazing what trying something new can do for your soul.

Teachers | We are delighted to learn from our amazing speakers for the day.
Heather's love for cake design stems from an education in art, a passion for food, and a childlike refusal to believe that there isn't anything she cannot create. While attending the University of Michigan School of Art and Design, she packed up her paintbrushes to study abroad in Florence. Though she had hoped the city would rub off on her artistic prowess, she found herself more interested in the perfect foam atop her cappuccino.
Upon returning to the States, Heather's newfound passion for food seeped into her art. She has developed and refined her palate with Eve Aronoff at eve the restaurant and braved reality TV as an assistant to Courtney Clark of Cake Nouveau. As owner and cake designer at Sweet Heather Anne, Heather loves what she does, and looks at each new cake as a challenge to create something beautiful that will make the celebration extraordinary.

Jennifer Haf is the lead designer and proprietor of BLOOM floral design and has shaped her passion for all things natural into a successful floral design business. Gaining wisdom from the industry’s most celebrated designers and her own tried and true experience over the past decade, she is thrilled to guide students to reach their goals. With her extensive floral design experience and her love of teaching (Jennifer holds an advanced teaching degree) she is an open book willing to share and guide you on your floral journey.
