Our Venue | , located in the downtown area of Chicago, features an industrial loft vibe, complete with gorgeous brick walls, beautiful natural light flooding in the windows and picturesque skyline views. We'll also be utilizing City View's downstairs sister venue, Kitchen Chicago. With equally beautiful brick walls, stunningly high ceilings, and a petite garden view, we're excited for Bloom Bash Chicago guests to experience both intimate venues.
Our venue is only a few miles from Michigan Mile shopping, the heart of downtown, Yankee Pier, exciting comedy clubs, delicious restaurants and of course, Lake Michigan.

- Two full days of education and learning. Time-tested strategies from industry leaders, practices you can put into action in your business and blog now, and hands-on training.
- Day One Sessions include: Blogging, Social Media, Branding, Photography, Styling & Design.
- Day Two Hands-on includes: Floral arranging class, calligraphy class and your choice of two breakout sessions (Photography & The client experience OR Styling & Standard Principles of Design). Attendees will take home their floral arrangement and vessel as well as their full calligraphy kit including pen, nib, ink and instructional materials.
- A fully styled wedding photo shoot at the end of day two including tablescapes, florals, bride, groom and bridesmaid models and a styling station. Refine and develop your photography and styling skills in a relaxed environment where no one will compete to "get the shot". This is hands-on and attendees will be actively shooting and styling. Photos may be used for personal portfolios. We will also be sharing how to dream up and execute styled shoots of your own!
- Daily insight from a panel of hand-selected experts. We use this time at the end of each day to open the floor to questions of all kinds, nothing is off limits. Our speakers and panelists all have a passion for sharing their knowledge on their craft. You'll find this time very comfortable, casual, and informative as we are open to discussing things as serious as contracts, to as personal as how to balance work and home life.

KELLY MARIE THOMPSON, FLEUR CHICAGO
Kelly Marie Thompson has headed Fleur Inc since 2002. What began as a bucket flower shop has since turned into a bustling storefront boutique offering floral designs, deliveries and gifts, including as many American made lines as possible. The boutique has won a number awards including Chicago's Best from both The Reader and Newcity Magazine. She and her work have been featured in many print magazines including Martha Stewart Weddings, Town and Country, Vogue, The Knot, CS Brides and The Knot Chicago, as well as online blogs including Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty, Elizabeth Anne Designs and Ruffled to name a few.
Creating beautiful floral designs for couples across Chicagoland, Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan has been her focus the last few years, as well as offering a random design class, pop ups and collaborating with colleagues on tutorials and styled shoots. Kelly Marie's style has been described as "Organic, giving the illusion that floral design is effortless" and "Always romantic, but with a unexpected element that is sure to delight".

MOLLY JACQUES, HAND LETTERER & CALLIGRAPHER
Hi, I'm Molly. I'm a lettering artist who has had the opportunity to work with some of the best brands around. You've probably seen my work in magazines, on the television, or over at my font foundry. I'd love to share my expertise with you, whether through a commissioned project, online education, or fun lettering goodies. My work can be seen in Nike, Cole Haan, Disney and more.
Molly is back for her 3rd time teaching our hands-on calligraphy session, something our attendees always enjoy. It's challenging and fun; just like any new medium would be, and we're thrilled to have such a talented calligrapher to teach our guests! You'll also get the chance to hear Molly's expertise on business and social media on our Q&A panel.

ASHLEY SLATER, ASHLEY SLATER PHOTOGRAPHY
Ashley has been a storyteller from a young age. When she discovered photography, she discovered how to tell stories in an incredibly stunning way and was hooked. Based in the midwest, Ashley is primarily a wedding and portrait photographer and loves shooting with her film camera as much as possible. When she is not photographing weddings or running the Bloom Workshop which she co-founded, you can find her at home with her husband and two small boys. She is a wine and food enthusiast and enjoys traveling, cooking, eating and exploring new cities.
Since teaching The Bloom Workshop, Ashley has found a new passion in passing on knowledge and empowering women in the business and photography skills. She thrills at the fact that every lady leaving can successfully navigate their camera settings and feel confident in taking great photos!

MICHAELA BEEL, MICHAELA NOELLE DESIGNS
Michaela has always had a passion for interior design, as she grew up building floor plans out of jenga blocks, spanning the entire width of her bedroom.Her passion for design has always been a part of her life, so with a love for houses and design, Michaela graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in interior design from Seattle Pacific University and an AA degree in interior design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. She has been authoring her design and lifestyle blog since 2010 and launched her own interior design business upon graduating, where she enjoys serving people and families by creating homes they love. Though from California, Michaela lives in Michigan with her new husband and enjoys working with high school students at their church, trying new recipes in the kitchen, eating out, drinking lots of hot tea, and decorating their first place together.
As the co-founder of Bloom, Michaela has a passion for teaching women about blogging, social media, styling and design. Michaela's design work has been featured on RueMag, Style Me Pretty, Glitter Guide, Martha Stewart, 100 Layer Cake and more!

JEN JONES, IHEART ORGANIZING
Whenever I go missing, it's probably a safe bet that I could be found digging in a cabinet, drawer or closet, paring things down, rearranging and spinning my gears. Always looking at each and every space, wondering what could be done to to beautify and simplify that zone. Although "mom" will always be my number one job, I also write my blog IHeart Organizing full time, contribute to the Better Homes & Garden's Style Blog and run an online printable shop.
Jen is a seasoned Bloom speaker and we're excited to have her back, teaching how to use Pinterest for your blog or business and be on our expert Q&A panel at the end of both days. Her knowledge on all things blogging and social media makes her a wonderful addition to our team!

bridal gowns, shoes, and delicate accessories will be the focal point of our photo shoot. We are excited to be partnering with the talented who will be providing gorgeous rings and jewelry! will be supplying us with the most darling, round vintage velvet ring boxes to style our details and rings. Molly Jacques will be crafting our invitation suite, while Kelly Thompson will be designing the florals for the shoot. Our team gets even better with doing hair and makeup, Root Cakes creating delectable desserts, and making our tabletop as pretty as ever. Vibrant pinks and magentas paired with delicate details to juxtapose the natural city vibes, will create our downtown Chicago wedding inspiration.
Our styled shoot time is carefully designed to make sure everyone has time with models and details. Our guests are divided up into groups, each with assistants from the wedding industry to aid in working with your cameras, help with styling, etc. This is a comfortable environment for everyone to learn about their cameras, try new things, work on posing with experts, or if you're a pro already, this is the time you get to shoot your heart out and collect beautiful images for your portfolio!
